But the Foreign Minister wasn't the only one to condemn the assault on the U.S. Capitol building. We also heard from the U.S. Charge' D Affairs, Keith Gilges.
In a press release issued this afternoon Gilges said that American democracy which has been through many tests was tested once again and, quote: "We find ourselves shocked and saddened by the unacceptable rioting and lawlessness of those who stormed the Capitol but proud of the process moved forward, undeterred."
The Charge' also stressed that President-elect Biden's planned January 20th inauguration will go ahead.
