The diplomatic relationship between Belize and Taiwan continues and today, that was put into black and white. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eamon Courtenay, and Taiwan Ambassador Remus Li Kuo Chen co-signed the 2021-2025 MOU on Bilateral Cooperation between the government of Belize and the Government of the Republic of China. This MOU succeeds the 2017-2020 agreement.
A release from the government states quote, "the two governments are committed to deepening cooperation and collaboration in areas such as public health, agriculture, trade, education, women's empowerment, and environment for safeguarding the wellness and welfare of the peoples of both countries and driving sustainable development through the said MOU over the next five years." End quote. The MOU was signed at the Laing Building.
