Thousands of refugees from Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean are lined up and camped out at the Mexican side of the US border desperate to get in. They are asylum seekers, fleeing poverty, persecution, climate change, hunger, and gangs.
And included in that mix is what we estimate is a fair number of Belizeans. They are surely a super minority when compared to the Venezuelans, Haitians, Salvadorans, Hondurans and Mexicans, but they speak English and yesterday one of them was interviewed outside the border barrier by KRCA a television station from Sacramento California:
