Former US president Donald Trump currently faces 91 indictments. But the one that experts agree has the greatest likelihood of blocking his ascent to another presidential term is one that's been lodged in the Georgia judicial system, where he is charged for conspiring to overturn the 2020 presidential election results. The woman leading that charge is eminent Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

But tonight she's under attack and facing a possible disqualification because she was having a financial conflict of interest while she was in a relationship with one of her special prosecutors.

Now what does this have to do with anything here in Belize? Well a lot of what happened pivots on a vacation the couple took here in Belize when they were still dating in private. In 2023, Willis paid for her boyfriend, Nathan Wade to celebrate his 50th birthday in San Pedro - specifically at the Phoenix Resort. Today, Wade took the stand and confirmed that, among several trips that he took with Willis, Belize was on the list.

Investigator:
"Did you take a trip with Ms Willis in 2023 to Belize?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"I did."

Investigator:
"Did you take a trip to California with Ms Willis in 2023?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"I did."

Investigator:
"Did you pay for those trips on that credit card?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"I use the credit card to book the travel but understand-"

Investigator:
"She paid you back cash?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"Let me say this. Let's take the Belize trip for example since you started there. That was a birthday gift to go so I paid nothing for that trip, zero."

Investigator:
"So the charges that are on your card, she gave you cash for?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"She did."

"I wanted to get into the charges on the card. So traveling with her is a task, you can probably imagine the attention that happens so for safety reasons she would limit her transactions. I mean, imagine trying to walk through an airport or sit at a restaurant or do anything. So there was no attempt to conceal, it's a credit card, everything is here."

Investigator:
"That's not what I asked. What I asked was the charges for Belize in March 2023 on that credit card, those are things you purchase to go with Ms Willis to Belize."

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"Those are things we booked with my card that she paid, yes."

Investigator:
"Those show up on your credit card?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"They do."

Investigator:
"And you're saying she paid you cash to reimburse you for all of that."

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"She did."

Investigator:
"And she paid you cash for both of your portions or just her?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"Both."

Investigator:
"So that trip Belize, just Belize, she paid you for everything in Belize."

"The entire trip. So the food, tattoo parlor, all that stuff, she paid for?"

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"There was no tattoo parlor in Belize."

Investigator:
"The charges, there's a tattoo parlor on the charges, I'm not getting into what it was for, I'm just asking if everything that was on that card related to Belize, she paid you back for."

Nathan Wade, Fulton County Special Prosecutor
"She paid, yes."

Filings show Wade paid for the couple to say at Phoenix resort for 1,723 US dollars and Ambergris Grand for 995 dollars. Then they spent 74 dollars at a tattoo parlor and 363 at local restaurants. The allegation is that she did not re-pay him in cash. The live testimony continues tomorrow.
