And, as Dr Zabaneh mentioned, tomorrow Prime Minister Briceño will lead a high-level delegation to Campeche, Mexico, to meet with Claudia Sheinbaum, the President of Mexico and Bernardo Arévalo, President of Guatemala, to discuss areas of mutual interest among the three neighbouring nations.

The Foreign Minister told us about the meeting:

Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs
"Yeah, tomorrow, um, we're going, the Prime Minister is joining the President of Mexico and the president of Guatemala, um, for a, an engagement, a dialogue. Many different areas will be discussed. Um, you know, energy, sustainable development, um, transport, um, tourism education. Many different areas will be discussed."

"Um, but really it's coming together, um, as a result of a commitment, a shared commitment to, you know, um, biodiversity, preserving, and protecting biodiversity. So I think there'll be a signing of a. A packed, kind of packed of a shared commitment. It's not a binding document, um, but creates legal obligations, but a binding PAC that demonstrates the commitment of all three countries, uh, to the protection of the biodiversity in our shared spaces."
