And while we all need to keep an eye on the Northern Highway, future problems can hardly be the worry of the Ministry of Works. The here and now is enough to keep them occupied for months. After weeks of rains that just won’t let up – highways and streets all across the country are in a state. Minister Boots Martinez says that as soon as the rain stops, works will start.
Hon. Anthony Martinez, Minister of Works
“The Ministry of Works will be forging forward next week especially when the waters recede to partner with the municipalities and also the Ministry of Works proper to make sure that our infrastructure starts to get back in reasonable condition. So as soon as the water recedes, you will see the Ministry of Works partnering with municipalities and the citizens of this country privately to make sure that our infrastructure is in good condition.”
We saw encouraging signs today as work was done to patch up the almost unrecognizable Albert Street.
