On Tuesday, we showed you two men who were ferrying people across the flooded Mopan River in Succotz. We met Paul Bradley doing the same thing yesterday. He was using his own boat to help transport villagers in Rancho Dolores. According to Bradley as long as the people need his assistance, he will be extending a helping hand.
Paul Bradley, River Valley Resident
“I work with Rancho, Doublehead, Lemonal, and Isabella but to me this area is the one that needs the most assist.”
Jacqueline Godwin,
Basically you’ve been ferrying the people to and from Rancho Dolores?
Paul Bradley,
“Since yesterday yes and I’ve figured I was going to give a five or six hours today but I understand there was an accident with the Coast Guard boat so I guess I have to, well o don’t have to stay out here but I will stay out here and wait for tonight for the bus to come and try help the people get over. All voluntarily.”
Jacqueline Godwin,
How concerned are you about the floodwaters because you have been working through this area so you think it will get much worse?
Paul Bradley,
“Yes it will get more worse but all the people are taking heed.”
