Last night we took you into the homes of some Port Loyola Residents who have been flooded out due to the weekend showers. Today their area representative and Minister of Works Boot Martinez told 7news that help is on the way. Martinez says that first, a road has to be built.

The road will cost one hundred and sixty thousand dollars and the work on that will start as soon as the end of the month. Meanwhile for Roselle Arzu, the lady who had a boa constrictor living in her ceiling and water coming up through her flooring - she will be getting a new house which the minister says will cost 28 thousand dollars. The building of the house will commence as soon as the road is complete and her lot is filled. In the meantime the existing structure will be demolished and Arzu will be placed in a house where her rent will be paid. That won't happen unlit November.

As for Juan Canek, the man whose house was completely flooded with some parts of up to 2 foot of water -he is placed on the housing component list of the Southside project - a 4.7 million dollar project which comes on stream in November.
