So, as you saw, Iota's outer bands have already been affecting Belize, which is still recovering from all that flash flooding that occurred during Eta's torrential rainfall.
In his last act as Prime Minister, Dean Barrow called a press conference a few days before the general elections to announce that all the flood victims who were devastated by Hurricane Eta would receive humanitarian assistance.
So, when we caught up with the new Agriculture Minister, Jose Mai, yesterday, we asked about government aid for the farmers who were impacted by the flood. Here's what he had to say:
