And, that segues to our next story and the final one for the night - an update on the suicide story we ran last night.

Contrary to what we reported last night Anselmo Pop hasn't been buried as yet - his funeral is scheduled for tomorrow.

The Coast Guard Commander, Captain Elton Bennett tonight stressed that - contrary to what we reported - he did not say that he considered suicide to be an act of cowardice. Indeed, he did not say that and we apologise to the commander and the Pop family for this mischaracterisation.

Also, we reported that the family of the deceased will not receive a flag. That is inaccurate. Tonight, Bennett told us that they will receive a flag for their son's death.

Captain Bennett has added that, quote, "It is an unfortunate situation and we are saddened by the loss of Seaman Ancelmo Pop. He will be given a military funeral but he will not be buried with full honours due to the nature of death."
