And in other news, a breakfast fit for… well, maybe not even dogs. A video showing a meal purportedly served to BDF soldiers made its way to social media. The alarming part was its presentation and impracticality - a container of white rice with boiled eggs and Johnny cakes mixed up in it. The eggs still had their shells, and another container showed a side of what seems to be tomatoes and the vegetables.

The video was posted by the UDP's media outlet, The Guardian Newspaper, and it reached the desk of the BDF officials. In a release sent out today, they said, quote, "The chefs and kitchen staff at our military installations strive daily to provide the best meals possible to everyone. The video in question shows food being "lumped" together for delivery away from the dining hall. The BDF has protocols on how food should be packaged for consumption outside of the dining facilities. The matter is being investigated and those responsible for not adhering to the protocols will be held accountable." End quote.

The release continues by pointing out that there is a clear chain of command for soldiers to voice their concerns and that, in this instance, those procedures were not followed so that the information shared could have been dealt with internally. The BDF is calling this act mischievous and explained that they are working to ensure that the welfare of the soldiers remain a priority.
