A 63 year old woman who is taking care of her 96 year old father is asking her area representative for some help.

The Gaynair family has lived on Hunter's Lane in Caribbean Shores for an incredible 107 years but they say their neighborhood has fallen into a decrepit state. They're calling on city hall. And their area repair help:

Deborah Gaynair, Hunter's Lane Resident
"The condition, the holes in the road, the dirt, the area. Do not get cut. The water. it's very unsanitary. We have a lot of flies, and I just think they need to come and fix the alley."

"I would like for them to come and clean it up, cut it often. get rid of the potholes. And before the alley was very nice, very smooth. The kids could play marbles, top and everything in the alley. Now, the kids can't even play. most of the kids can't even wear their school shoes through the alley because there's so much hole and so much water."

"We did it when we were younger. My dad did it. Now, my dad is 96. He can't fix the alley. They really need to come through here and get the alley done. We've been asking them to fix the alley and they have not even tried."

"We've been here for 107 years. My family. So they need to come and fix the alley."

Area Representative Kareem Musa told us today that he will include Hunter's Lane in his Community Development Fund for September.
