Our Internet jury has rendered a verdict in our online poll on the police's new policy of applying discretion in arresting youths found in possession of small quantities of marijuana. The "legalize it" controversy was sparked last week after a memo from Assistant Commissioner Maureen Leslie was leaked. We heard from everyone during the week ranging from the Assistant Commissioner to a legal analyst to the Prime Minister. All had their say and more than 500 of you had your say by voting in our online poll. In the end 60% of you agreed with Leslie's decision and 40% opposed. Its food for thought, but we stress this was not a scientific poll and reflected the views of those who chose to participate.
