Those are the kinds of irregularities and acts of questionable judgement that the DFC Commission of Inquiry will have to investigate. Make no mistake about it, the DFC debacle is no mundane matter; it is a labyrinthine arrangement of connections, corruptions and complete departure from standard banking procedures and accepted practices. But the Commission seems up to the task. The three member group comprising Chair David Price, union appointee Merlene Martinez and government appointee Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord held its first meeting on Monday to review its terms of reference. Once those are gotten public hearing will commence in May. They will be held in the committee room of the National Assembly Building in Belmopan.
