Last week you saw or heard Narda Garcia's riveting three hour testimony before the Senate Special Select Committee the probe into mismanagement of Social Security funds continued. Garcia revealed that at the instruction of Social Security's Board of Directors, she signed unto documents she knew to misrepresent the true state of two mortgages from the St. James Building Society. Now, the Chairman of the UDP Doug Singh has written to the Prime Minister, the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit asking them to do something about.

First he asks the PM to fire the recently re-appointed CEO; then he asks the DPP look into the paying of insurance premiums to fictitious companies as a possible case of fraud, and then he asks the Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit to conduct an investigation into the, "channeling of Social Security funds into private bank accounts into New Orleans, Miami and New York."

Yes, it is pure politics and is not likely to result in anything, but the continued scrutiny on a clearly and knowingly fraudulent transaction and one that was guaranteed by the government with your tax dollars continues to mount and will likely reach a crescendo when the committee releases its findings.
