Responding to his summons, DFC's General Manager Troy Gabb dutifully appeared before the DFC Commission of Inquiry at 10 this morning. The meeting was held at the commission's secretariat which is housed within the DFC building. But though the secretariat is just a few offices down from his, Gabb didn't go there alone, he was accompanied by his attorney Michel Chebat. According to Commission Chair David Price, Chebat explained that his client could not produce the required documents. After some back and forth, Chebat said Gabb could provide some documents, but the sensitive documents could not be shared because they are guarded under section 18 of the DFC Act. The commission members agreed to accept the documents but would still view Gabb's action as non compliance with the summons, and would still seek to prosecute him.

That's where it's at this evening, as Commission Chair is expected to now make a complaint to the police which should result in Gabb's arrest. That's no small matter for the manager of government's development bank and we'll continue to monitor the story into next week.
