'The list,' 7NEWS revealed it on Friday and it's been all the talk in the public service since then. On Friday we gave you some of the big names that are on it, tonight we'll tell you a few more. In the Ministry of Housing, three Cordel Hyde loyalists: Project Managers Evan Garnett and Cardinal Usher and Project Coordinator Marshall Nunez get the axe. In the Natural Resources Ministry, Community Liasion Officer Carlos Santos gets the axe. And in the Education Department, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Gilberto Chulin had his contract terminated. But in the Prime Minister's office, no contract officers were terminated, meaning that special advisor, Richard "Dickie" Bradley and his $72,000 in salaries and allowances will stay on as southside advisor. And while those cuts and keeps raise some eyebrows, for sheer volume and depth of contractual largesse, we keep turning to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has the most contract officers and the most highly paid. According to the documents, diplomats like Ambassadors Amalia Mai, Lisa Shoman and Salvador Figueroa routinely make over $165,000 a year in salary and allowances. And while that's what's listed on the paper, sources we spoke to indicate that those figures do not reflect all allowances. And in fact, if other allowances like the foreign station per diem of US$150 per day is added in, the total paid to an individual ambassador goes above the $250,000 mark, and in once case, exceeds $300,000. Presently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs alone lists $3.1 million paid out to contract officers, a solid quarter of the total amount paid to contract officers.
