Unions Will Join in Saturday's Demonstration

Tomorrow morning in the city, the Association of Concerned Belizeans will be staging its demonstration against what it calls the misuse of Social Security funds. And while the demonstration is being organized by the ACB, the NTRUCB and its largest affiliates the PSU, the BNTU, and the Communication Workers Unions have sent out press releases urging their memberships to come out and support the demonstration. It's a new battle cry and one that will tomorrow measure the resolve of the ACB and the unions as well as the opposition to renew its push for the better management of the public purse and Social Security monies.
