PG Councilor Resigns from UDP

In April we told you about the rift in the Punta Gorda Town Council. The UDP majority wanted to oust one of its members, Will Galvez. The council is UDP controlled but has one PUP councilor and a PUP Mayor. Well, today Galvez announced that he is resigning from the UDP. Galvez, it should be noted, was elected on the UDP slate but is the brother of PUP Mayor Carlos ‘Obeah’ Galvez. With his resignation as a UDP, the council is now split 4 to three in the UDP’s favor.
