BFJ/Yolanda for Mayor

The Belizeans for Justice issued a fiery press release today condemning the murder of nine-year old, Joshua Abraham. The BFJ ends up blaming the government for failing to address the specific, ongoing rivalry between Victoria and Kelly Streets.

And while the criticism may be valid, it had to now be placed in a directly political context as the President of BFJ, Yolanda Schakron - has finally and fully declared her candidacy for PUP Mayor - after months of playing cagey about what was, for all intents and purposes, a public secret.

That was on display in the City's 21st September Parade where a few supporters could be seen wearing T-Shirts saying "Yolanda 2012 Mayor."
