The National Evangelical Association of Belize may not be inclined to support the Women's Voice and Leadership Caribbean program, due to the pro-LGBT elements. But tonight, they are crying foul over the Equal Opportunities Bill - which has been shelved for the time being.
A late evening press release from the NEAB says, quote, " The Association expresses its great dismay at the Prime Minister and National AIDS Commission Chairperson's decision to exclude Evangelicals from the consultation process related to the Equal Opportunity Bill
We fully support legitimate Equal Opportunities and anti-discrimination in legitimate categories listed by the EOB, particularly in relation to the disabled, victims of domestic abuse, those with HIV/AIDS, and many others. However, from the content of the Bill, from the invitation and inclusion of UNIBAM and the Human Dignity Trust at the drafting table, and now the exclusion of Evangelicals, it's perfectly clear to the nation that the EOB in every draft is primarily an "LGBT Equalizer" initiative" end quote.
The say they are, quote, "resolute to protect our rights, our children, and the children of Belize from dangerous "gender fluidity and LGBT ideology."
