No Alcohol On Election Day

The commissioner also took the opportunity to stress that the sale of alcohol will be illegal on election day:

"The sale of alcohol is prohibited during the day and up to 12:00 am or 12:00 midnight the night of elections so and you know that the liquor licensing act does not make provisions for any liquor establishment to be open beyond 12:00 midnight on a Wednesday s,o we do not foresee that is going to be an issue and again we just hope that the proprietors of these liquor establishments are going to comply with the law and do not sell alcohol on that day."
