At the top of the news, we showed you the swearing-in of all the new PUP Ministers and Ministers of State, who will start to govern the country as early as tomorrow. But, the different government departments in Belmopan will not be the only places where new PUP faces will be seen.
The Briceno administration also has the responsibility for the management of the Government-controlled public utility companies, BTL, BEL, and Belize Water Services Limited. And so, all those Board members chosen by former PM Barrow and his government will also have to vacate their posts.
When we asked the new minister in charge of public utilities, Rodwell Ferguson, he told us that these appointees should have already known that they needed to start cleaning out their offices to leave after Wednesday's general election. Here's that conversation:

"Well it's almost automatic and I think they knew that. Okay, when they got appointed it was in 2008 when UDP was the government that it was obvious that somebody had to go for them to come in. So, this time again they will have to go to bring in new people to take over these boards."
