In a week, Prime Minister John Briceno may be seeing a notice of a law suit from former PM Dan Barrow.
That's because last week Dean Barrow sent Briceno a letter of complaint on behalf of his client, Karen Bevans. In the letter, Barrow said that PM Briceno defamed his client in an interview given to LoveFM and Love TV - who also received a similar letter.
The letter also said that Barrow was giving Briceno two weeks to retract the statement and issue an apology - or else he would file a suit against the PM.
Well today, the media asked Briceno's very close ally, attorney Eamon Courtenay if he would be representing the PM - that is, if the case does go to court. Courtenay's reply was only 14 seconds long, and sounded more like a warning to Bevans.

Hon. Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs
"I hope Miss Bevans won't sue the Prime Minister. That would be a sad mistake. Think about it - 1.25 million dollars and you want to sue the Prime Minister. Let's not get it twisted too early in the day."
