By the end of yesterday's by-election in Corozal, it was clear that the PUP was going to walk away with the town council election as well.

That meant that the incumbent PUP Council, lead by the returning Mayoral Candidate, Rigo Vellos, was going to be returned to office for a second term.

But, the picture wasn't so clear during the day when our news team was moving around. Here's what the candidates told us during our election coverage:

When the counting was over, the Mayoral Incumbent, Rigo Vellos, received 2,885 votes. His opponent, Roger Arana, received 850 votes less, with a final tally of 2 thousand and 35 (2,035).
