And at least one of Hyde's senior Cabinet colleagues agrees with him. Today, Francis Fonseca said that he thought everyone would be getting the cut, and it's definitely something that needs to be discussed in the cabinet.

"I think as the deputy prime minister rightly said we will have a discussion about it at the next cabinet meeting, I'm sure we will be provided with an explanation as to why they was a change in the position and once we've been provided with that explanation, we can have a proper discussion on it and make the right decision."
