But when he isn't criticizing the People's United Party, he's busy trying to fix his own. Over the past few months, the rift between Faber and many of the party's members was publicized, leading to a recall convention. Faber came out victorious and he said this has cemented him as leader. Since then, he's been meeting with the members - especially those from the last administration who've been alienated - to try and fix any bad blood, despite some of them - like the former minister of transport, Edmond Castro publicly criticizing his leadership.

Hon. Patrick Faber, Leader of the Opposition

"I will continue to try to resolve the matters of the party within the party structure. In fact, I think when you got that interview from him, what he failed to tell you is that he was schedule to meet with me just the Friday before and that meeting did not happen on his account, not mine. But I will refrain from getting into any kind of back and forth and I will trust the processes of the party so that we can bring about proper resolution to the issues that still continues to face the party."

"I have been meeting with individuals. I have tried as well to seek an audience with the group that was called 'caucus for change' and I did travel and I am just back. So, some of that was delayed because I was out of the country on these meetings that I want to have face to face. But I have met with at least 10 of my colleagues who did not support in the last my bid to not be recalled and so that work of mending is there."

"I want to be clear that when I say mending it means it means that we are trying to work on a way forward. It does not necessarily mean that those colleagues have said they want to run or not run or we've not engaged on that kind of level of discussion. It is just to see how we can get over the hurdles that were once before us and still continue to be before us in many respects, so that we can as a party try to work on our situation to move forward."

"The meetings were all very cordial and that's the thing - on a one and one basis I have always maintain that kind of relationship with my colleagues, I don't think that any can say that we can't have a discussion or we can't talk. What was the issue is clearly that I read the mandate from the people in the election from November 2020 and also March of 2021 to say there is certain changes that we need to make and that is the mission upon which I have embarked and I will continue to go on and it's just a matter of trying to see how everybody can fit into that agenda."
