Of course, when dealing with Saldivar and Faber - because there's been so much bad blood for so long - there's always a lot to unpack. And part of that is the social media storm that Saldivar whipped up after the recall attempt against Faber failed on July 11th.
To say he went on a rant would be an understatement; the man was unhinged in his excoriation of Faber! And now, months later, he sat beside him. We went to the record and asked him about that:

"But I am alarmed when you said that the caucus has reviewed its options and has concluded that Patrick Faber is the best choice for leader. I have to read to you the statements on your facebook page on the recall day: "More than 50% of delegates voted against Patrick Faber, you have no mandate to lead. Step down, sir" you quoted the Margaret Thatcher situation, she steps down after winning the first vote by a small margin and you said to Mr. Faber's brother: "sorry forgive me, your punk ass brother will not step down after getting less than 50%" and then you also said that "Patrick Faber is more corrupt than me." admitting you are corrupt. And then you also said "I have never exported favors from persons, do you want me to start." These are things you said in June. Not in July of 2020, July of 2021, not even 2 months ago or just over 2 months ago about Patrick Faber, the man you are sitting beside and saying he is the best choice for UDP. Sir, are you flip flopping in the most enormous way ever recorded?"

"Let me tell you Jules and I won't shy away from it: I have learnt, the life is a learning process. I have weighed all the options, my colleagues and I have weighed all the options and our position as changed, my position has change, their position has changed - I believe in earnest, that Hon. Faber is the best option for us. Now, if you want to get into my head about how you reach that change, I'm not going to re-hash, but I'm telling you, that having reviewed the situation now. I am not at that same position that was a few months ago and to say I am a flip flopper, well call me what you want."
