He's the PUP's media sniper, svengali and spin doctor in chief, but as Director of the Government Press Office, Mike Rudon has been placed on two weeks suspension without pay.
The move reportedly came from the Prime Minister's Office after Rudon went on an Independence Day Facebook tirade against a prominent Belizean.
It all resulted from the flap over the 21st broadcast when the stream kept dropping - due to glitchy internet. Well, Rudon got pilloried for it - unfairly, because it was a cross media production - which Channel 7 was a central part of.
And - while he may have gone over the top on his attack - indeed, that's how Rudon got his job - and now the Senior Briceno loyalist has been kicked to the curb temporarily because he lost his cool on Facebook.
