Prime Minister John Briceno, along with his Minister State Chris Coye, and Foreign Minister Eamon Courtenay and a senior finance officials met virtually with the IMF's Article 4 Mission team today.

The Prime Minister took to Facebook today to confirm that the Mission has been concluded.

He said that the meeting had a positive tone based on the economic recovery from the pandemic downturn.

And that's backed up by Belize's positive growth over the past financial year where GDP was projected to have grown by 12.5% in 2021 and is expected to continue with 6.5% growth in 2022.

The Mission team also referenced the fact that Belize's debt management was marked with the elimination of the Super Bond and the confidence of new partners like The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, and the Millenium Challenge Corporation.
