"Some people are saying that the trip you're going on this afternoon is a whole lot of play and not much work, especially since you could have worked right in Belmopan."

Hon. John Briceno - Prime Minister
"What we felt was that we needed to be able to get out of the Cabinet and to have long in depth discussions. In Cabinet we have several papers, we discuss a paper for a half and hour or an hour, we want to be able to take the big issues we are facing, the issue of cost of living, the issue of fuel, and just look at the budget, we have to sit down and look at the budget, all ministries have increased their submissions or their wish lists for this new budget and so we have to sit down and go through all of that. It's not something that you do in one hour so we want to be able to discuss some of these issues and have a lengthy discussion instead of having to be, oh we have to go home, so that gives us and opportunity to do even better than what we've been doing so it's not just a holiday, it's not just to go off, we work and you've seen that, my government have been working every single day."
