Turning back now to our interview with defaced candidate for party leader Tracy Taqegar Panton - we also asked about her personal life.
She lost her 50 year old husband suddenly in the middle of a difficult - and historic political convention - trying to become the first woman to lead a mass party in Belize.
She didn't ask for an extension - and three weeks later, she faced what proved to be her toughest challenge.
When we caught her at home today, she was just catching up on the weeks of grief followed by intern campaigning. Jules Vasquez asked her about it:
Hon. Tracy Taegar-Panton, UDP Area Rep., Albert

"Losing Herbert in the middle of it was probably the hardest hurdle I had to cross, but my resolve was strengthen in the fact that some of what I was pursuing was values and shared aspirations and hopes we both had."
Jules Vasquez
"Where's your head at personally?"
Hon. Tracy Taegar-Panton
"I need some time, honestly to work through how I am feeling, how my children are feeling, trying to make the adjustments we would need to make in terms of our family affairs. Moving on without Herbert is not something we even contemplated, at least no time soon. I was looking forward to us enjoying our grandchildren, so it's not an easy place to be, but there is no changing the situation and so we have to go to a place of acceptance and we have to find the strength and the grace and the compassion and just simply the wherewithal to move forward, because that gap will never be filled."
