The last time the Prime Minister proposed a Chair of the Public Service Commission - Moises Cal's name got shot down before it could even be properly floated.
The PM hopes for better luck with his most recent appointment - whose name does not attract controversy. He is Cresencio Sosa, a former Permanent Secretary and, later on, a CEO under Ralph Fonseca in the Ministry of Investment. Government Reps say Sosa is very familiar with Public Service Regulations and enjoys the respect of senior public officers.
