Yesterday we told you that the joint unions successfully negotiated the resumption of their increments, starting with the new fiscal year. But that doesn't mean they're done negotiating just yet. They still have the issues of the lost increments and the pension reform to discuss. And while we'll tell you what the PSU president had to say about those, notably, in Tuesday's Cabinet meeting, the ministers discussed the possible restoration of two increment points, meanwhile the public officers have actually lost three. The first increment point was surrendered under the Barrow Administration in 2020.

The other issue the Cabinet discussed was pension reform, which will no longer be tied to the increments, and will see new public officers paying a contributory pension in the first phase.
