Leader of the opposition Shyne Barrow put a lot of his energy at Friday's house meeting into criticizing the Briceno Administration's housing program.

He says that with just a few hundred houses delivered and ten thousand promised, the reality on the ground puts a lie to the PUP's manifesto claims.

And one of his further declarations was that UDP controlled constituencies in the city have not gotten any houses. Here's our back and forth with him on that:

Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Well I have identified all of the people that they told me were my amount, my allotment and I still have not gotten one house for anyone in Mesopotamia. The minister of infrastructure says that well it's because of flooding, it's because of this... well he is the minister of infrastructure, so he could fix that as he is doing for other of his PUP colleagues, because as he says he is the minister for everyone."

Jules Vasquez
"But can't we argue that Mesop should not need any housing. You all had the minister of housing."

Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"I am not the minister of housing."

Jules Vasquez
"But Mesopotamia had the UDP. Michael Finnegan was an elected official who was the minister of housing."

Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Well of interviewing him to cook and to do your chef specials, ask him about housing. I was not the minister of housing."

Jules Vasquez
"You inherited the legacy. But would you agree that objectively that Mesop should not have housing needs?"

Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition
"Sir, we have a national housing problem and I am not just speaking in terms of Mesopotamia, I am speaking in terms of a national housing solution."
