And Barrow, who has weathered a few storms himself - says, in his estimation, this is a body blow for PM Briceno:
Dean Barrow, Former Prime Minister
"I can't recollect any prime minister being in as a, as much in, in a pickle, as, as these circumstances constitute for the current Prime Minister. You just cannot explain that. The members of cabinet, like the members of the public can only come to one conclusion, and in my view, that conclusion makes the Prime Minister's continued tenure untenable. He will no doubt stay, politics being what it is, but his moral authority, assuming he had any, is irretrievably damaged."
"There is no recovering the huge ground that he has lost."
"His colleagues are aware of the larger issue at play. His colleagues know that as the good Michael Ashcroft has said, this is another pension plan for the boys with the difference that it is a pension plan for only some of the boys. So I almost, I, I wish the Prime Minister well, but I do not see how he can get away from this one."
