And while the opposition wants "open Paki" the government doesn't seem keen on discussing this proposal just yet. Yesterday the PM said he will wait until it reaches the National Assembly, and today Minister Fonseca said he wasn't too worried about the changes. He explained that it's not the first time his constituency will be shaken up, and he's prepared for it.

Francis Fonseca, Area Rep, Freetown

"I'm sure changes will be made but I've never been one who is concerned about any changes. Even during my 20 years, there have been changes when the UDP was in office, they made changes and taken out a part of my constituency and given it to Caribbean Shores so I think it's all about working in your constituency and building relationships with people whether there are existing member of the constituency or new members."

Reports to 7News say the Election & Boundaries Commission met this morning in Belmopan to further consider the proposals. As we understand it the proposals remain to eliminate the Queen's Square and Port Loyola constituencies in the Belize District and create new constituencies in Belmopan West and Stann Creek South. Again, these are only proposals and we'll keep following it.
