And while Supa says that his concern has to do with the treatment of local artists - what about the financial bottom line?

Last year the BTB said it spent 750 thousand dollars on Belize's First International and Music Food Festival. So far this year, no accounting of the profit and loss breakdown has been publicized. The leader of the opposition claims that BTB is not being as transparent as they should with the funds. We asked the Pm today as to whether an audit will be conducted following the festival. Here's how he responded.

John Briceno, Prime Minister

"I really have to hold much down before I go answer the Leader of the Opposition. But I will just say this. When he was the music ambassador, did he give any audit for the events that he held? He has no moral authority and if you would think a little bit, if you should just have a little bit of thought process, I think he would keep quiet more often and not open his mouth."

Reporter:
"But it's for the people, sir, maybe the taxpayers would want to see an audit."

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"But a report is given, the previous government used to give no report, here we give a report. But I don't know what you mean by an audit, if you want to pay an auditor 10, 20,000 dollars, that would be a waste of money. The important thing is that a financial report is given to the public after the events."
