But campaign is more than just machinery - voters also have to be convinced that the ruling party is living up to its pledges.
And two key pledges seem to have been left by the wayside. The first is campaign finance reform, the second is redistricting.
WE asked the Deputy PM is they are really serious about campaign finance reform and he dutifully gave it the old radical reformers' spin:
Henry Charles Usher, Chairman, PUP

"Very confident, we have been on the ground for more than two months now campaigning in all 9 municipalities, we completed the process of selecting our candidates at the end of November so since then, they have been on the ground as well, meeting the candidates, talking about their accomplishments in the municipalities, speaking what we would be accomplished 24 to 27, so really it is about getting your machine ready, it is about meeting the voters, and making sure that on Election Day, you bring out your voters to the poll."
Courtney Menzies:
"In 2021, you guys got 65 out of 67 seats, we know that it's highly unlikely that you'll maintain all of those seats come this election. In the outcome, how much do you expect you'll be able to hold on to?"
Henry Charles Usher, Chairman, PUP
"We expect to have the overwhelming majority in all 9 municipalities."
Courtney Menzies:
"But any estimates for how much you think you'll get?"
Henry Charles Usher, Chairman, PUP
"Well I'll leave that for you election predictors."
