And, finally tonight, we asked the Prime Minister today about the changes at PACT. It's caused quite a bit of disquiet in the conservation community because the current board and Ministry of Sustainable Development is trying to move the fund towards an investment based strategy.

That strikes a chord with the PM who credits himself as one of the architects of the Protected. Areas Conservation Trust going back to his time as Minister of Natural Resources 20 plus years ago.

And that's why disgruntled members of APAM reached out to him. He discussed the meeting and the objectives:

John Briceno, Prime Minister

"Well, I met with APAMO and we, along with the minister, are discussing another solution, not the legislation. They were concerned about the future of it, which direction it is going on, questioning what are the changes of the executive director was at the right time? The minister explained, and I think we have a good understanding on how to make sure that we can ensure that PACT works the way it was envisioned."

"So yes we need to take a look at how we can continue to improve PACT."
