The outcome of Venezuela's presidential elections is in serious dispute and while neighboring countries like Mexico have demanded answers from Caracas, Belize - a longtime ally of the Maduro and Chavez regimes - is playing neutral. They recently abstained form a vote at the Organization of American States to demand that Venezuelan Government release the elections data as required by Venezuelan Law in order to preserve the integrity of the elections results and protect against election fraud.
The leader of the oppositions says they have to do better:
Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition

"And Belize abstained. Then the foreign minister, sometimes education minister - think he is a much better education minister - but the foreign minister went on national television and said, well, we don't want to make any declarations, we just want to, you know, get the information. That is what the OAS resolution was aiming to do. So if you look at our press release, we have concerns, but we are not going so far as to, you know, say that there was corruption or there was electoral fraud, but there are many red flags, there are many indicators as such."
"And so we are encouraging the Venezuelan government to release the data to allow for an audit, to allow for everything that in a democracy, this mandate and by law. And it is shameful and deplorable that the People's United Party did not join the OAS in asking for this."
"And, we hope that the minister, because we heard from the foreign minister, but we haven't heard form Henry Charles, we haven't heard from him, he was there he was an observer. And I am very curious to hear what he has to say."
