And keeping it on politics, Commissioner of Police,Chester Williams was visible at a PUP endorsement convention in San Pedro on Friday night.
He was sporting a blue shirt and standing with a uniformed officer, Sergeant Devin Makin - recently seen pistol whipping a civilian who did make a sworn complaint about his conduct.
So, what's up with all that? We asked the Compol:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I know that your News Director is in love with me. He's my friend, or my frenemy. But certainly myself and the minister had gone to San Pedro last Friday to do the award ceremony for police officers who were awarded long service and good conduct medals. We awarded officers who have served 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years and after the ceremony was over I remained in San Pedro. On my way to the hotel, I passed by where they were supposed to have the convention for the Honorable Perez and I just stopped in to make sure everything was okay and before the convention even started I left. So for your News Director to say I was there for the convention, he was totally off. I went for the awards ceremony and I was not."

"There at that convention site when the convention started but even if I were there, I don't see what the issue is. I'm a Belizean, I'm entitled to go anywhere and if there's a political convention I have a right to go and see what the candidate is going to bring to the table. So I don't take offense to what Jules has said, I will tell him from now, I will be in Orange Walk for the Quad Convention in Orange Walk this Saturday so he can go and video me so I'm putting you on notice from now that I'll be there."
Reporter:
"But you'll wear white?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I can wear whatever color I want to wear, you'll tell me what color I must wear now? I can wear what I want to wear."
Courtney Menzies:
"Sir what about the presence of Officer Makin amidst all the controversy, what's the update with his status?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I believe I have commented enough about that matter and I'm not going to delve any farther into that matter."
