And how does Musa feel now that his handpicked Commissioner of Police has been placed on an unprecedented 45 days administrative leave? It would appear to be a humiliation for the most senior lawman in the country,. But the minister rejected the notion that he was handpicked. We asked him whether Rosado will return.
Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs

"When you say handpick? What? You mean because there is a hierarchy, when it comes to the police department, we can talk of police constables, corporals, sergeants all the way up to a deputy commissioner of police who could be commissioner police one day. But in terms of the next person in line, based on the ruling of the High Court of Belize, that would have been Doctor Rosado."
"And so if you would recall, at the time of this election, it had gone down to the two senior deputies, and it was determined that the High Court, that Doctor Rosado was the more senior, deputy. And so he got the job."
JO-
"Can Richard Rosado come back from being publicly undermined or humiliated by being put on 45 days?"
Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs
"That's left to be seen. As you know, the Prime Minister has gotten, has given directives, to the effect that ACP Anderson, who is well fit, to carry out this investigation, and I presume that that investigation is going to be wrapped up sometime in the coming weeks. And so we'll have to see what happens after that."
