And so while that case may end up in court, who's keeping track of it all for the Ministry of Home Affairs? A new CEO has still not been named - almost four weeks after Mira took over the Ministry.
So when will one be appointed? And who will it be? We asked Mira.
Oscar Mira, Minister of Home Affairs
"Yes. CEO Usher is acting CEO at this time. He is the CEO of the, national defense and Border security. At the same time, he's acting CEO for the Ministry of Home Affairs on Enterprise. I have a discussion with, with the PM. As you know, he's the one who appoints CEOs. And we do have a very good idea as to who we want to come here. And it's just for us to sit down and agree and PM will do that appointment soon."
Courtney Menzies:
"Oh, so you don't have a date in mind?"
Oscar Mira, Minister of Home Affairs
"No. Not yet. I'm supposed to meet him. If not today, tomorrow during cabinet, and, we will have a CEO very, very shortly."
