Minister of State in the Ministry of Economic Transformation Osmond Martinez recently concluded a series of high-level meetings in Washington DC - and he did so with agents of a multinational as his chaperones. He was accompanied by two ASR Executives: Mac McLachlan, the Vice President of International Relations at ASR and Ruy Martinez, the Regional Commercial Director at ASR.
A release says Martinez engaged with U.S. Senator Rick Scott; Senator Ashley Moody of Florida; Joseph Salazar, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs and others.
Martinez discussed energy, the export of coconuts from Belize, and public sector investment projects to enhance trade competitiveness.
Following the meetings, Martinez - who has responsibility for the Sugar Industry portfolio - a visit to Florida for a site tour of ASR's operations. In case you missed it, ASR is the parent company for ASR/BSI.
