Yesterday, the former UDP leader wrote a letter to the current leader - who he addressed as Tracy "Garcia" in the letter. Shyne Barrow stated that he is the duly elected caretaker for the Mesopotamia division and that Lee Mark Chang has no legitimate standing under UDP. Barrow claims there were never any conventions in that constituency, and Chang wasn't endorsed by Barrow, who was the then-leader.
But today Panton says she's not wasting her time or energy on Barrow.
Tracy Panton, Leader of the Opposition
"We have a representative of Mesopotamia, an elected area representative in the National Assembly. That is the honorable Lee Mark Chang. And that's all I will say about that matter."

"What do you make of the way Mr Barrow addressed you in the letter he sent in using an incorrect name, or an old name, maybe?"

Tracy Panton, Leader of the Opposition
"I really don't have the energy or the time to give that any kind of credence or response. The simple fact is, the United Democratic Party has a duly elected area representative for Mesop and that person is the Honorable Lee Mark Chang."
