In May we told you about a 300-pound jewfish that was caught a half mile off Belize City's coastline. Well today we came upon another jewfish haul that makes that one look light - literally. Fisherman Collingford Flowers hooked the great grouper and told us how he knew he'd snagged a monster.

Collingford Flowers, Fisherman
"I knew it was something very big, I was sure of that, and I knew it was a nice one."

Jules Vasquez,
How long did it take you bring it in?

Collingford Flowers,
"About twenty minutes. We just held it by the boatside and try to get the head in here and slipped it over because it is very slimy."

Jules Vasquez,
Is that an area known for having big fish?

Collingford Flowers,
"Yes, for many years now."

Jules Vasquez,
Is this the largest fish you have ever caught?

Collingford Flowers,
"No, I have caught bigger than this."

Jules Vasquez,
How many pounds do you estimate it to be?

Collingford Flowers,
"About four to five hundred pounds. It is bigger than the last one. That had about three change."

He estimates that he'll get 200 to 300 pounds of fillet and at $8 a pound, you don't need to do the math to know that Flowers is having a good old time tonight.
