If you have strong arms then you might be able to earn bucks for your big biceps in a male and female strength competition. It’ll be held Sunday at the City Center and there’ll be $10,000 in prizes. Dwight Lewis is the organizer and he told us what to expect.

Dwight Lewis,
“I love these activities and I have different friends who push weight and we have always wanted to show who is the strongest guy so I just came up with this idea for us to come together and have this thing. This will be an annual event, it is the first of its kind. It’s a little different from the building because you know bodybuilding is you alone on the stage and you pose down and stuff like that. This is a hand-strength.

It will be by the weights. You have 150 pounds and under who will be competing against each other and then you have 151 to 185 and then you have 186 pounds and over. We will also be featuring a competition whereby you will be doing a 100 sit-ups, pushups, a hundred dips and a hundred chin-ups.”

You can sign up at Body 2000 gym, the Downtown Fitness Center, or at Neal and Gordon’s Gym. Sundays show at the City Center begins at 1:30 pm.
