Tens of thousands of Belizeans watched the World Cup final on Sunday all across the country - and they saw Germany edge out Argentina one- nil in an extra time thriller. The game was live from Maracana stadium in Rio De Janeiro where 74,000 fans crowded into the celebrated stadium. Victory was clinched with a goal in the 112th minute of extra time, followed by a hearty celebration for the Germans who won their fourth World Cup.

That's because 2014 marked the first time that a Belizean broadcaster had to pay for the rights for the World Cup so that it could be seen all across the country.
