Belize's Volleyballers Served Nicaragua

And in other news, Belize got off to a winning start Tuesday night at the Civic Center during the 19th annual Central American U-21 Female Volleyball Championship. The team defeated Nicaragua in 3 sets 25-15, 25-19, and 25-23.

That's something to be celebrated for sure but today, when they were interviewed this afternoon the girls, said that despite the win they didn't fully have their heads in the game and while they played well they could have played better.

Here's how they put it:

The team has a rest day today before their next game on Thursday against El Salvador.

When PM Bricenco appeared on Sunup on 7 this morning he sent a special shout-out to Belize's team and told us he'd be in the stands cheering them on this weekend.
